IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) is a NATO-standard individual first aid kit that is a mandatory part of any military personnel's equipment.
The peculiarity of IFAKs is that they are not designed for long-term or medication treatment (there are simply no medicines in such kits). These kits have only one purpose - to provide emergency assistance in the first seconds after an injury, to eliminate critical consequences (such as massive bleeding) and thus increase the chances of survival.
These kits are individual first aid kits for soldiers and in combat conditions. Here is a detailed description of each element of the tactical first aid kit:
